I have been waiting for I485 approval for 15 months now. I was wondering if switching to CP is possible and If it would save me any time at all. Keeping in mind the following:
I have dual citizenship: Egypt which is an SR country and Canada,
(When I went to SJC for SR, they refused to let me do it ,becuase I had last entered the country on Jan-2003 (after 9/2002) and was not inspected at the airport and because I have a pending I485?)
I will need fingerprinting from both countries.
My first 3 years H1B has expired on 4/2003, Extension filed normal processing on 3/31/2003
I have not applied for EAD/AP.
Any information will be greatly appeciated.
