Does the I-129 require submission of proof of education credentials, similar to that required for applying at the border? And what about copies of my passport and proof of my existing status? As far as I can tell from the instructions, I need only submit the I-129, the TN supplement and the employment letter--is that right?

You'll need to submit a copy of your I-94, and a copy of your educational credentials.

Pls submit

Bcs once i applied for TN by e file and i dint submit the documents and in a month it got denied then i went to border to get a new TN.
So its very important to submit all documents in 7 days after filing for TN.

Yeah, it may not be clear when you e-file, but you get a shhet to which you are supposed to attach all supporting documents as a cover letter. They figure its up to you to know, from reading the I-129 instructions, what you need to send.

I couldn't find anything in the instructions about requiring evidence of educational history (I'm doing a mail-in I-129 renewal for 3 years). In the section titled "Extension of free trade stay" (page 18), all I see required for Canadians is 1) the letter of employment, 2) the newly requested length of stay, and 3) continued valid licensing if required.

Did you get your first TN by I-129? If you did, you *could* chance that they still have your documentation, after all, what's an RFE among neighbours.

If your got it at a POE, then they don't have your original submission.

But, to be safe, I would take the phrase "continued valid licensing" as meaning the same requirements from the first submission.

Ok thanks--I'll send in what I brought to the border last time.
