Status of Advance Parole

Hi All

I will appreciate if somebody could let me know what happens to the original Advance Parole filed with CSC when one takes Emergency Advance Parole.

Due to an emergency my wife took an Emergency Advance Parole on April 2nd and left the US on the same day.
However, her original application was approved on April 8th. Now can she come back using the new Advance Parole which got approved on April 8th ( because it expire after 1 year ) whereas the original expires on May 10th, 2003 or does she need to come back using Emergency Advance Parole.

AP needs to be approved before one leaves the US. So I think she should use emergency AP as the other one may show a date later than the date that she left.
