Starting Online Business with H1 Status

Greetings.

Would like to seek suggestions on what all need to be taken care to start an online business with H1 Status.

I am not looking forward for any GC processing with the Online Business setup. This is just to earn more money with innovative marketing strategies / solutions.

It is my understanding that you cannot be "self employed" on a H1, and so cannot start your own business.
