My husband came to the United States in 1995 illigally.
In 1997 his ex girl friend turned him in for rape 3rd degree because she was mad because he didn't marry her.
He pleaded not guilty,she never showed up for court, He was charged with harrasment and Domestic viloence 4thdegee. His probation was not to go near the girl and pay $2000. He was then told he could pay a thousnd dollars and get permission to stay are be deported. He didn't have any money so he chose to be deported voluntarily.
When he returned illigally in 1996 he paid all fines and his recordes were cleared.
We got married in 1999 and I applied for his rescident card which he recieved in 2002. He never knew anythink about regresting with the selective service when he was an illigal alien. When he recieved his Resident card he was 27 so was not asked to apply for the selective service.
So now if we apply for citizenship may he be denied because of this record this incedent in 1997. And what should we do about him not sighning up for the selective services.
