I am going to call my lawyer next monday. Last month she said she called INS and was told they are waiting for the security check result. Otherwise my case will pull on the complete adjustication. I don't know what happened yet.

How much time did it took for the security clearance??
no news but definately not a good news!
Nothing for me either.
Does anyone know when the petition signed for "Backlogs in I-485 Processing in Vermont Service Center" will be submitited ?
Also, regarding the security check clearance - is it something that we can call and check with the 800 number. Since my lawyer has been no help.
If anyone has any info then please share - just helps while hanging in there!

My lawyer got the notice which was issued by BCIS on 05/22/03.
My lawyer did not inform me for the notice but when I called on 06/17/03 she said said yes we received the notice and your FP is due on 06/19/03.
Thanks GOD I didn't miss the schedule date.

I did my 2nd FP on 6/17/03. I called my senators office again and they told me that I should wait for 45 days and remind him if nothing until then and they will contact VSC.
I think that is the adjudication process time. But what happens if the security check is not complete even after the 2nd FP?

Possibility
The only possiblilty that I can think of is.....
The files might have been misplaced in some other place .....May be under Sep/Oct 2002 Rack Instead of 2001 Rack.
When they pulled ur file for EAD/EAD-Renewal/Advance Parole Processing, they might have got misplaced.....

My lawyer called me today and she said that they got the 2nd FP notice for my wife. The schedule date is 08/07/2003.
I don't know why BCIS didn't send it along with my 2nd FP.
Her first FP was on 02/14/2003.
We will be out of town on 08/07/2003, please advise if I can go for an early appointment?

Yes you can go for an early FP. Just take the FP notice with you and explain the circumstances to the people at the INS office, and it should be fine.
There are several other people on this forum who have gone earlier than their FP appointment, and have been serviced. Do a search and you will find several threads on it.
