Refund of Expedite Passport Fees

I had requested Refund of fees paid for Expedited service early in July and received a refund check last week..

I would encourage others to do the same if they believe that they did not receive expedited service..

I am trying to get my passport expedited.

The local office in DC manadates an appointment.
Do they also need to see my ticket in hand?

please advise on getting the passport expedited - can i walk in and do it without a ticket in hand, is this the same as the local passport office. is it better to go to the post office?

You need an appointment if you re looking to get a same-day passport and yes, they need some sort of proof of your impending travel to get your passport within the same day..

Expedited in my case was by paying more fees than for regular processing and you do this over the mail and yes, you can goto post office or local courthouse and apply for expedited passport..

It took me about 6 weeks and this after paying expedited fees..

My son's passport process is now in it's fourth week, expedited. I'll probably be applying for a refund too.
