Finally gone through the day (09/20) on a big move to Canada from US. Had some doubts on reentry, since I havn’t been to Canada over 2 years, but past Saturday I could able to enter by road through Windsor tunnel with IMM1000 with no trouble.
Questions asked:
1. What's your status?
My friend (who's driving) US GC holder and myself a landed
immigrant. Gave the passports.
2) How along have you been to US?
4 weeks (since I had lots of stuff packed in the trunk and in
the back seat and my personal laptop and work laptop) on a
safer side to defend if they are going to check the car.
2. Did you buy anything?
No
3) You have been in US for 4 weeks and did you not buy
anything?
NO
4) Where did you stay in US?
Cousins home
5) Why did you go to US?
Work
6) Can I see your landing paper?
I gave the IMM1000 paper, he entered something on his
system, not sure what he did!
7) Do you have any firarms?
NO
8) Did you buy any tobacco or drugs etc?
I just showed an opened marlboro.
9) Did you have any cartons?
NO
He returned the passports and IMM1000, and said Ok.
We rolled on to Windsor. That was a moment of big relief, as I was worried abit having big luggage.
Been planning to relocate to Canada for some time to apply for my citizenship, and luckily I could manage my US client to get a remote access to continue work from home in Windsor, not sure how long but for a while. I would be glad to answer any questions, please post or email. Thanks.
