Just a heads up:
5 months ago my TN-1 employment ended, so I submitted a I-539 to change my status to tourist.
Recently I received a RFE asking for proof of my travel & tourism activities since that time. (In addition to the usual foreign ties, proof of money to support myself).
If anyone else is making a similar change of status request: make sure you take the opportunity to see some sights & keep your receipts.
