For Form N400, Are you a member or associated with any organization, association,...in the US?

Do I need to write down the academic association such as American Cancer Research Society, American Physiological Society?

You can, but I doubt that it really matters. I wrote down American Red Cross and United Nations Association. They care about organisations of interest, if you know what I mean.

Yes, it's a good idea to put down that you are involved with those research organizations.
