processing time

do you know what is the waiting time for H1B extension at Texas Service Center? On the internet it is saying that they are processing with receipt notice date of October 27, 2005. But this data does not tell me how long it will take if I submit my application next week? is it 6 months? I just dont want to pay $1000 for the premium processing because I dont have to leave the country in any time soon.

I am in the same situation, well, can you post the link where did you find "Current Processing" info?

As per you queston , if current processing one is reciept Date , Oct 2005 , ie its taking 5months to process. I guess they say , processing time takes upto 180days ( 6months ).
