Is there anyone who could help us. We would like to know how long does it take for the US Embassy here in the Philippines to process the K1 or Fiance Visa.
Why is it that the INS Vermont and the NVC were able to provide us notices and we were informed when to expect them to finish the processing and where the papers are going from the time they received our application. Why is it that the US embassy here in the Philippines could not provide us the same information. We are at a loss on how long the processing would take place.
It has been a month now since I was interviewed by the Consulate here in the US Embassy after I have submitted my medical exam and all the requirements needed. And I have called their Calling Center several times but until now they say that my application is still under review. I dont know why they could not give me specific time frame on how long they could finish the review. If the INS Vermont and NVC could do it, why does the US Embassy here could not do it.
February 3, 2003 Application was mailed to INS Vermont
February 6, 2003 Application and payment was received by INS
Vermont and Notice and Receipt Number was
sent to my fiance
February 14, 2003 My Fiance received the notice and receipt
number from INS Vermont
March 7, 2003 Application has been approved by INS
Vermont and was sent to NVC
March 15, 2003 My Fiance received the notice from INS
Vermont that the application has been
approved and has been sent to NVC
March 31, 2003 My fiance received notice from NVC that
the application has been sent to the
Consulate of the US Embassy in the
Philippines
March 26, 2003 I called up the US Embassy to follow up
April 11, 2003 I submitted the medical exam and all the
requirements and was interviewed on same
date
May 8, 2003 To date, I have not received any notice yet
not even to tell me how long they will process
my application
