Processing of E-2 visa

Hi!

Does anyone know if while I-129 is being processed to adjust the status from B1 to E-2, can the person go back to his country and come back before the processing is completed? After I-129 is approved, does the person have to go back to his home country to get a stamp or anything?

In my case I did not leave the contry when my I129 was processed as per my lawyer advice, yes, you have to leave the county to put the visa which is usally for 5 years from your county consulate will put you in your passport. it is better to have a visa for future travell outside the usa.
