Primary Approved. How long for dependant to be approved?

"Patient" is a funny word especially in this kind of forum.
Most of us would probably be told by the lawyers, INS(CSI) officier to be patient.

My case got approved on 9/20/04, my wife's case is still pending.
I haven't heard any cases that the dependent got denied.
So I will try to be positive.

I see many people have smiliar cases like mine.
Please provide your experience, if you have smiliar case.
How long did you have to wait for the dependant case to get approved?

I have the similar situation .....

My I485 approved on Sept. 2, 2004, together with my wife, but not my son.
I send a letter to ask for my son's status. When I had the letter, I will tell you what I got on that.

I140(NIW)/I485 ND 10/5/2002
I140 AD: 07/9/2004
I485 (me and my wife) AD: 09/02/2004
I485 (my Son): pending???? :confused: :confused:
 
what address i should sent the letter to ? thanks,
My case was approved on 09/13/04, but my wife's case is still pending.
so frustrated.
 
Thanks CPage. As your 485 approved before FP2 (Sept 20), how did u do your FP2 later (Sept 23)?? or is it a typo???

The date is correct.

I posted this issue in another thread.
We did go to the Alexandria office for FP. I wanted to verify with them about the approval. Besides, my wife's case is still pending. They said our FP1 (March 2004) is with 15 months, so we didn't need to do FP2.
 
Similar Situation: Wife's case pending

RD: Oct 23, 2002
AD: Sep 30, 04
FP2: Sep 07, 04
Service Center NSC.

Wife's case is Pending. We applied I485 together so I am a bit puzzled about her case. Can anyone who has been through this situation comment.

Remember each 485 is alway being reviewed independently. Primary case and dependent's cases are not always approved together, just sometimes. It is very common. Don't worry. dependent case will be approved. :) I haven't seen any cases that the dependent got denied.

It should be approved within 6 months after primary's 485 is approved.
