Hello guys:
My friend was in US for a month on a H1 B via a NJ company, but even before he could start his job/pay etc. due to a personal problem he had to return back. Now its been 1 year since he had gone back and he is planning to return back to US and hopefully get a job thru the same company. His h1b is valid till 2008.
Can someone pls advise on the below:
1.how important is it that his port of entry (POE) matches his companies head office location. For example his company is based in NJ..should he plan a return flight from via JFK etc. He is from europe and final destination is Orlando , hence he is getting better flights via Miami as POE.
2. Will a absence of 1 year due to a emergency cause him any issue with the entry or starting work with the same company.
He had applied for his ssn during his first trip 1 yr back and got that.
