I came to US 9 years ago on J-1. I got married, I applied for perm. res. and they called us for the interview, where they told us I can't stay because the 2 year foreign residency requirement. I filed the waiver based on marriage and never heard from them again, meanwhile i had to renew my work permit every year. I have been asking them a lot of times about the response to my waiver and they told me this is taking a long time. After 6 years of marriage we divorced 2 years ago. I filed again a waiver this time based on "no objection" and last year they approved it. But now since I'm not married and I filed already 8 years ago for the green card what it can happend?
I don't know why I just received in the mail an appointment for fingerprinting, I know I give them already 4-5 years ago the fingerprinting. What should I do now? I'm afraid they not gonna renew my work permit anymore. Thank you in advance for your answer.
