Please HELP!!. Interim EAD Question.

I am also one of the unlucky '01-I485 filers with RD of 12/10/01 and ND 12/17/01 still to see the light in the tunnel. My 2nd EAD expiring this monthend and applied for 3rd one 4 months back. But not yet approved. Today, I went to Arlington INS office to get Interim EAD. Waited about 6 hrs for my turn. I explained everything and finally the officer gave me an appointement letter for March '04 instead of giving an interim EAD. She said this is what they are doing currently and its legal to continue
working with this appointment letter. The letter only says to appear for an interview to get Employement Authorization
letter on so and so date. Nothing about 'can continue to work until this date'. Has anyone got this kind of letter?.
Please clarify, as the officer said, if this is legal to work with that letter. I would really appreciate your immediate reply. Thanks.

I think you can try in different District Offices.(Baltimore)
EAD Applicants from Maryland used to get Interim EAD card from Boston office.

Arlington office is too notorious. Can we get appointment then
with in 90 days?

Any comments or suggestions from others please...
