Hi All:
I am a full-time employee in a medical school, for which I hold a H1-B visa. Meantime I am doing consulting service for another medical school (teaching online, I don't work at the school physically). My question is if I need another H1-B for teaching online (I am an Canadian) ? Thanks.

Yes, from what I was told by the lawyer, your H1B only gives you permission to work for the sponsoring employer... which means you can't work for anyone else, not even yourself (ie: a self employed bussiness). If you have EAD, you can get a second job and not need a H1B

I am not an official employee under the second medical school and they won't offer anything like H1-B application. I don't have EAD either. Any other suggestions. Thanks.

I don't think you have any other options.It has to be H1B or EAD to legaly work a second job. Would be interesting to hear from others what options you have.
