my file recently got transferred to San Jose from Vermont.

could anyone please give me the number at San Jose to speak with an IIO?

There is no number to talk to anyone in San Jose... If
you mean to say that you want to contact an IIO at California
Service Center, here is the number:

Check the INS web site, they have links to pages for each field office. You will find some information there. There is no phone number you can call, as far as I know. You can always go there and stay in line. My lawyer advised me against it, just because it will not help advancing your case in any way.

SJ also has meeting with the general public now and then. You can go there and talk with an IIO but you will not get information specific to your case. I went to one of the meeting to help with the wait and got some generic answers to my very specific questions.
