PERM EB2 Education

Hello All,

I have a 3 Yr degree + an MBA in Systems Management (2 yrs) and a 1 Year diploma in Computers. I also have around 8 Years of relevant IT Experience.

1) Given that there is a EB2 Job at my Employer's site, Can I apply for EB2?

2) My Employer is based in Nebraska Service Center Region. Heard They are touch on education. Will my education qualification pose a problem?

3) My current cleint is in CA. Can I apply for labor both in my Employer's Head Office location and my current Client location (CA)? This way I can apply for 141 and 480 in CA Service Center.

Any Suggestions Please. Thank you all so much!!

I am in the exact boat as you (without the 1 year diploma in computers). Is your MBA a degree? Mine is a post graduate diploma (PGDBA). Its a 2 year full time accredited diploma. But DOL does not recognise it as a Masters degree.

My lawyer has advised me against EB2. Apperently, in EB2 you cannot combine degrees to be equivalent to US degree, with EB3 its not clear. So you MIGHT get through. So if your MBA is a masters degree, you can try an EB2 otherwise EB3 seems to be the safer option (according to my lawyer).

You cannot apply through your client location. Labor has to be applied from where you company is based or has offices.

You have Masters degree which also IT related, you will qulaify

You can not apply in CA unless your company have employer CA state ID and pay CA payroll taxes.

Hi Every One..I was wondering if any one cold through some light on my situation.
I have BS -Electrical and US Masters in Com Science..Overall US experience is 4 years + India Experience is 3 years.

My current jobs is that of ProjectPlanner (blend of quality, IT business analyst and Project Managment ) in Power Industry.

I am not sure if I can utilise my Masters in Comp Science to file through PERM in EB2 catogory.

Appreciate your input

Hi

Would a job for Sr. Systems Analyst qualify for an EB-2 under PERM, if the job advertisement asks for a BS +5 years experience?

Careful, if you are doing scheduling/project planner job with Primavera P3 or Artimis, MS Project etc, the job does not require any degree at all. Training or certification from PMI or Primavera may be sufficient. Make sure to put correct job titile such as Project Controls Specialist etc. to qualify
 
EB2 education

I need your help/suggestions

EB3 RIR (PD april 2004) with following back ground :
Systems administrator with 6 years experience ( 4years in U.S.A) total 18 years of IT experience.
My academic qalification is MA in Arts ( in one of the regional laguages of India i.e. non-english). I have 3 years diploma in Industrial Electronics passed in 1986.

My U.S academic credentail evaluation says I am undergraduate in my tech studies but graduate in Arts equivalent of U.S.

Now: Add one year to my U.S experince as systems admin plus recently I passed TOFEL and joined Online MS Tech management proagram in a U.S.A based University. Already passed 6 out of 36 credits and with Grade A. Enrolling for next 3 credits.

Also is there any hope I can convert to EB2 PERM.?
(My job/contract place of work for last 2 years is same and my employer is also same.)

Please let me know what is best for me.

First of all you have to get your exact job requirements.
Suppose job requiremeent is as follows (e.g).
System Admin, BS Computer Sci with 2 Years exp or MS Comp Sci with no Exp.

Where do you fit.?? With your expereicen with non-technical degree you may fit in to BS Computer Sci with 2 Year category (Your 15 years exp does not matter here).

Unless courses are completed and degree awarded you will not be considered as MS in Computer Sci.

There have been many EB-2 approvals mentioned for IT occupations and Job titles like Sr. Systems Analyst and Sr.Software Engineer or even DBA

Can someone in that category please respond what did they post as Educational Requirements for the Job? Your replies will help quite a number of people. Please respond.

I used "Sr.Software Engineer" titile and Educational Requirements for the Job as "BS +5 or MS +1". I have BS + 9 year exp in IT fields. Hope this help you.

If you filed under EB-2 with "Sr.Software Engineer" as job title, did ur employer need to submit a "buisness necessity letter"?
