I am in Sixth year H1B in the US with pending AOS with FP2 done. I have valid EAD and Advance parole.
On Aug-2003 i entered canada as a landed immigrant and got my card after 2 mos.
As per canadian immigration rules, i can stay at most 2 years out of canada , which means i have to start staying and pay taxes from August 2005 to complete my 3 years and hence keep residency status valid in canada.

So if i don't get my 485 approval by July-2005 i plan to stay in a border town say hamilton/Niagra falls and work in Buffalo/Detroit.
How wise idea is this ? Are there anyone in this forum who crosses the border on Advance parole and EAD to US.
Will i be taxed twice by both ?

Any answers would be great !!!!

You can live in canada and work in US and commute daily or otherwise as long as your residency is maintained.

Yre not not taxed twice if you live and in canada and work in US. You take a foreign tax credit for the taxes paid in US and subtract it from the canadian taxes and pay the difference if any.

You could consult a cross border tax expert for this like
