PCC For Mumbai - Feb 2002 Interview Date

I have a interview date of Feb 15 2002. I have applied for PCC from CG-SFO on 8th Jan.They say it takes 45 days. So I am not sure whether I will get it bfore I go for interview. Do I have to take PCC from local police station and RPO. If yes then how long it takes ? What is the best option for me ?
 
PCC.

Call them up...I called yesterday, they said less than 30 days ....you can explain you situation and see if they can get it by Jan end..

FYI..I applied on the 20th Dec..they said I could come on the 18th Jan and collect it...

Is this PCC from consulate sufficient ? or still i have to get PCC from local police station and RPO ?

I applied for my wife on Dec 12th in NY
I spoke to them and explained the sitiation afew days back... I m cping on Feb 1st in mumbai.
Cant wait 45days.
Its already been 1 month.
They told me to come there next week , with the plane tickets to proove that we re really leaving soon.
Lets see how it goes .. i ll go there on Monday.
I lll also apply for myself ( my passport was issued in NY ).
