Payroll problems with my consulting company

hello all,

I am having payroll problems with my company for over a year now. They are not paying on the pay day and i get paid after 30-45 days delay. It has become worse off late. My GC process is on with them and as I understand I cannot change employer now. I am worried where my employer might file for bankruptcy...
If someone can please advise the options that I have to safeguard myself, I would really appreciate it.

You should discuss your options with an attorney. You can change companies if you can find a new employer for GC if specific procedures are followed. You need to decide whether you want to risk GC verses pay if you do not have a plan that will permit continuation of GC process.
 
Thanks! Do you know if a company thats filing GC's for consultants file for bankruptcy? any other advice would be really helpful.
