I applied for US passport today. I was a bit confused. They charged me $209 (expedited service)
Also the lady did not check my id. All she did is use my Naturalization certificate and wrote something on the passport. She also stapled everything including the Naturalization certificate ( which annoyed me ).

Does this sound a familiar experience for others who got their passport?
I live in NY (WestChester).
 
Except that it was a waste of money to apply for expedited when they are processing routine passports very fast pretty much everything else is the typical experience, except the acceptance agent should have checked your ID as you point out.

Applied for my passport paid $ 100 for regular service. Applied on Jan 2, 2009 got my passport yesterday Jan 10, 2009.
The office took my Naturalization Certificate but did not ask for any other I.D

Can you please tell me where did you apply?? NY, NJ or PA??? if in NJ or PA can you please provide me with info??? I am travelling on 28th and I have my interview for citizenship on 14th.
