passport stamping questions

Please let me know your experience? What you have to bring w/ you? I got my 485 approval at TSC. Can I stamp at San Jose? Highly Appreciate your answers.

Does your approval notice not tell you where to stamp your passport?
Just follow it.

Look at the long line before San Jose INS. It\'s not easy to get stamping at San Jose.

If one lives closest to San Jose and they specify San Jose, can one go to SF instead or has to go to San Jose for the stamping?

As I know, every local INS has its jurisdiction. CSC assigns every new GC bearer to a local office according his/her address (s)he reported to INS when 485 was filed.

I don\'t think you or me can tell if it is acceptable to change location through claiming address moving. It\'s judged by the INS officer you will encounter.

What you should carry with for passport stamping are also listed in the approval notice.
Someone reported that the officer may ask for driver\'s license to verify your address.
