Passport Stamp

just returned from India. The immigration officer at Chicago did NOT put a entry stamp on my passport BUT put an entry stamp on wife's passport. Is that a problem?

Note that we entered via Permanent resident cue. Also we only filled one "Customs" form (1 is required for a family).

Could you please post your experience with travelling to India with I-551 stamp on the passport but no physical GC?
I do not have the GC yet but will be travelling to India next month with I551 stamp(Hope I get the GC before that :D ). Please post if you had gone thru european countries and if you were asked for transit visa.

I -1551 stamp works. I went via Amsterdam and had no issue. Make sure you take a copy of I485 approval notice.
