Passport renewed - H1 revalidation questions

I got my new H1 visa approved on Jul 09, 2003. Since my current passport was valid only upto Feb 2004, I applied for a new one at Consulate Genereal of India, SFO. They sent me a new passport and my old passport with a "CANCELLED" stamp on its first page.

1) When I send my H1 to St. Louis for visa revalidation, do I have to send both the old and new passports?

One more question - I have got a new H4 for my wife as well and would like to revalidate it here.

2) Can I send our passports for H1 & H4 revalidation together in one single envelope?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Sar

1) Yes you need to send both the passports, you can staple both the passport together, as your old passport is proof of your earlier visa stamp. Also you need to carry both your passport when you are travelling outside US.

2) You can send your wife's passport for H4 revalidation along with your H1B revalidation in same envelope. Just make sure to send the appropriate fees for both of you.
