Guys here is my condition..
I got a new 3 years H1B extension..my new visa (I-797) is till Nov 2009.
My passport expires on Oct 2008.
I am scheduled at Toronto consulate on the 12th December. Can any of you experts in this forum suggest whether consulate will stamp the visa beyond Oct 2008 -OR- will they simply deny -OR- it is not a problem at all....
PS: I did call the Toronto consulate and asked them specificaly about this, the person on phone said it is not a problem as long as you have 6 months of validity from the date of stamping -- but I am not sure how wel the guy on the phone was informed and obviously the risk associated makes me nervous..so any helpfull information or similar experience will help...
