OPT incomplete course

Hi,
I applied for a full time OPT in April 2005 when I was taking my last set of courses for a Master's program and had my thesis to defend in fall 05. I got a memo from my dept stating that I will complete all my course work by the end of spring (May 2005) My univs office of intl affairs recommended me for full time OPT and issued an I20 saying thesis pending. Unfortunately, now I received an "incomplete" (in May 05) for one of my courses. There are only a few weeks left before my OPT application will be processed. I was wondering if the approval for OPT be affected because I have an incomplete course?

Thanks

no. My university routinely issues an incomplete for all Research courses (to be graded at the time of defense). I have about 50 credit hours worth of Incompletes. No problem with OPT.

Thanks a lot. I had an incomplete on one of my courses (independent studies). I got a grade a few days ago but its taking time for my school to update the records. Do the USCIS check for grades etc. while approving OPT ?

YES, Any police station can do it. If it is digital, find out location from your student international office

thanks in advance.

two years ago FPs wasn't required for OPT. So, you called the misinformation line at 1-800 and they told you you needed to submit biometrics, even though your notice of receipt didn't state that? And you didn't receive any additional notices from the USCIS? How long has it been since your notice of receipt?

Does your notice of receipt state that you need to make an appointment to get your biometrics done? If yes, then you need to call the 1-800 number for USCIS and make an appointment at the local Application Support Center.

I don't think USCIS would accept FPs from another source, like a police station.
