When I am trying to apply to renewal of OCI under miscellaneous services and enter passport #, OCI # and Date of birth, I get message stating :No record found for the information provided.

I triple checked to make sure all info is correct. Please see the screenshot.

Hello ,
Me too got the same message as 'No record found for the information provided.' , Have you got any resolution?

I had the same issue and realized that I was entering my new passport number, rather than the passport number that is listed on the last page of my oci card. Once I fixed this, I was able to find the record.

Anyone have any suggested resolution for this problem? I have encountered the exact same problem where OCE Miscellaneous Services cannot find record for myself and my son. However, I was able to successfully update the records for my daughter.

Yes, use the OCI number from first page of the OCI booklet and passport number from the last page of the booklet. That will work.

Did this resolve for you? If so, how?

I realized that my passport had been updated but the OCI still had the old passport number so that fixed it. However now am faced with this. How are we supposed to remember the reference number for when the OCI was last applied for? For every family member ?

I am entering the same information passport number in the OCI card, still seeing this cr@zy message. Not sure what to do since talking to embassy requires one to loose all the brain cells.

Hello, I am encountering the same issue as well, seeing "No records found" message. Any updates on this?

If you got a new passport you have to enter the passport number from your previous passport, as that is the one OCI knows about. If you enter the passport number on the OCI card itself it may not be the right one if you have had the card for multiple passports. So you have to enter the most recent passport that OCI knows about (previous passport). Just try every passport number you have ever had and one of them should work.

Not sure if you have resolved it or not but am still posting as it might help lots of others who are encountering the same error/issue.

For the OCI passport number, enter the number that is on the top right of the photo page of your OCI booklet and should say No. followed by the number. Enter the full number including any alphabets. Example: I entered A1571548

For the British passport number,
Currently my son has 3 British passports,
1st was the oldest
2nd was the older
3rd is the latest one

Even now, my son's OCI booklet has the 1st British passport number (oldest) printed on it. However, as I used the OCI service to update his British passport details when he got his 2nd British passport, the OCI database holds the 2nd British passport number (and not the 1st, even though the OCI booklet shows the 1st British passport number).

I too faced the same issue just a few days back when trying to update my son's OCI details after getting his 3rd British passport. It didn't work when I entered the British passport number that is printed on the OCI booklet but worked when I entered the 2nd British passport number as it matched the British passport number that is currently held on their database.

If you have multiple British passports, keep entering the British passport numbers one at a time and one of those will work.

Hope this helps others.
