I called up the IIO to day morning and that b**** is now telling me that my case is not assigned . What the hell this going on ? I call up 2 weeks back and the IIO tells me that my case is with the Officer and now the IIO tells me that my case is on the shelf waiting to be assigned . My RD is 6/13/00 EB2 INDIA

Coooooooool down. Don\'t create problems for others.
Many are waiting with RDs 9/99,10/99s.
Don\'t call INS often. If your Job is at risk, 180 day rule will
help you now. Don\'t get me wrong. If you call INS, they get
irritated. As you may know, the computers flash at their screen
when you called them last time each time you call.
I also advise you, pl delete this posting. I have been waiting for
4 1/2 years and still waiting.

Its because usually seems like IIOs dont know anything. They seem to be mostly window dressing. Sometimes you get lucky and get good information, but most of the times seems like they have the wrong info.
Like my friend when he called he was told that his application has not been assigned to any officer but from the AVM four days later, it was approved the day before he talked to the IIO!! Go figure!!
So dont sweat. Like the guy said below, people have been waiting for 5 to six years now. Not that it makes it less frustrated, just feel lucky you are not as bad as them yet.

Yes. You are right. We have discussed about IIOs many times here.
The qualification for adjudicator itself is only
a high school diploma. Imagine about IIOs. School drop-outs!.
