Notifying USCIS of address change after receiving GC

I received my conditional GC few weeks ago and now I'm moving to a new address within the same city. Am I supposed to notify USCIS of the change of address? If so how do I go about doing it? Thanks in advance.

Yes you should notify this move and your future moves to USCIS without fail.

And, it is pretty easy to notify USCIS. Go to www.uscis.gov and click on
forms link & download AR11 form. This is for notifying USCIS for address
change.

Download it and print it (it's a .pdf doc) and put all your information in that and mail it to the appropriate address mentioned in the form. And, you are done.

Having said that, don't think that USCIS will immediately update your address :) IMHO, the form is fulla s**t as it doesn't guarantee that your address was updated by USCIS. By law a permenant resident should follow this procedure and hence we (including you) should do this.

Good luck

A couple of things:

1. When mailining it in, make sure you ask to track it in any way, so you have documentation of this action.

2. Each family member moving with you needs to update their records as well.

Cheers,

I thought that the AR11 was to notify DHS, but that to update your info with USCIS for ongoing cases, one would have to call the "1 800 " number.
