You can call, fax, email or send them a mail via Post Office to ask for your status.
It happened to me before, and I need to resent my complete application again cause they don't have it (even with USPS show it was delivered !)
I think Chicago is really slow for people residing outside of state.
Give it atleast three weeks to receive the notification and don't know how many months (maybe a year) for the interview since I heard when AOs comes to Minneapolis, then you will have your interview scheduled. But, there are lot of people already waiting so it will be a bumpy ride. But you never know that you might land in that 20% whose interview are prioritized.
