Folks, I saw this posted in the VSC I-485 boards.

I-485 Mailing Date: January 5, 2002.
I-485 Receipt Date: January 8, 2002.
I-485 Notice Date: January 17, 2002.
Attorney received Receipt notice on January 24, 2002.
I received copy of receipt on February 3, 2002.
(Not sure why attorney delayed; currently not making an issue of it).
Went to Boston Local INS office on Monday, February 7 2002 @10.30 a.m.
(NOTE: Try to get there at 7.00 a.m. when office opens - much less people).
Applied for EAD in person
(documents: I-485 receipt copy, I-765, $100 money order,
passport w/ H1-B visa and I-94 card, GC-style photo).
Receieved card at 1.30 p.m. same day (would have been earlier except for 45 minute lunch break of person doing cards).
Hope this helps.
My question is "Is this the same for CSC also? Can I go to San Jose INS office after getting the receipt notice and get EAD for both H-1 and H-4(mine and spouse) ??
