New LAW - passed late this week..

Hai Guys and Gals,

Does anybody have any idea about this bill (now would-be-law)

I heard same on ZeeGOLD yesterday too.

I believe I-485 is the most active discussion group and hence I am posting this here (I am also in the same stage.)

Yes a Bill has been passed to create a V-visa for all the spouses of green card holders who have filed 485 for their spouses, earlier the spouse had to wail 3-4 years until approval of his/her 485, but now for famility unity they have created a visa called V which will be made elgible for the spouses whose 485 has been filed, they can come to US and start working if they want to based on this visa until they get the approval of thei filed 485

this is partially correct but check shusterman.com for an update on this visa. there is a requirement that the person was waiting prior to the visa enactment and the wait was for 3 yrs or more. so not a future applicability for this visa but rather as a relief for people waiting in Q for more than 3 yrs.
