I applied for AP on May 1st. THEN on May 2, my I-485 got approved. So I called IIO and requested her to send back my AP application and refund AP fees.
She put me on hold, talked to her supervisor, and said INS will not refund the money. She said INS did not ask any body to file any application. Hence INS will process my AP application, cash the check and reject my AP application on the grounds that I already have i-485 approved.
I asked what if i cancel the checks? she said she does not know.
Should I cancel the checks?(then I guess, INS will reject my AP due to lack of funds)
Gurus what should I do
Or should I donate $220.(AP fees for me and wife) to INS?????????
