Need Informtion - Applying for Visitor Visa with H1B receipt notice

Hi,

My current visa has expired and my employer has already applied for extension. Now, I only have my petition receipt notice with me.

I am planning to invite my parents soon. So, my question is, Can they apply for the Visitor Visa (B) with my receipt notice? Or, is there any problem of getting the visitor visa rejected, since they apply with my H1B receipt notice and not with the H1B approval notice.

Can any one share thier experience or any information they have?

Please let me know if you get any reply or get the visa with the receipt notice. I am also in the same situation. Only difference is I am on L1.
