Hi all, I became a 10-year LPR last November and now my company is sending me to Beijing, China to work in the local office there. I have a few questions that I wish you could please help me. Thank you very much!
1. My LPR status was achieved through my marriage to my ex-husband. My conditional green card expired on September 11, 2010 and I was successful in applying to have the condition removed, in which on November 18, 2010, my application was granted. So, if I don't take the job in Beijing, when can I apply for US citizenship?
2. Now I am taking the job in Beijing and will likely be staying outside of the US for more than 6 months, how will it affect me applying for US citizenship?
