Could someone please explain about the difference between new test and old test? Can we choose either one? which one is recommended? Also, is there any link for this detail and Q&As? Please let me know. Thank you!

In a nutshell, the new test is supposed to be more reflective of US history and civics than the old one. My interview is the same week as yours, and from what I've been made to understand, we'd still be taking the old test. Perhaps someone can confirm this.

The new test will not be implemented until October 1, 2008, so you guys should study the old (current) questions.

from what I'm made to believe, the questions are posed verbally. applicants are asked to write a sentence to demonstrate written proficiency during the interview process; therefore, one could conceivably deduce questions being posed in a verbal format.
