Mother is US Citizen/ I am planning on F1 visa

Hi

My Mom is a US citizen and I am in the US on B1/B2 10 year multi entry visa.
Will I have any problems with getting an F1, and can I do a change of status in the US itself.
or plan C is to apply for the family based immigration.

Not sure which is my best and safest option......

You will not be able to COS to F-1 from B-2 unless you declared your intention to do such when you entered on your B-2. You need to leave the country and apply for an F-1 visa. Given that your mother is a US citizen, you may be denied an F-1 visa.
