More quota for schedule Schedule A?

It appears that the AHA and others in the healthcare lobby are planning on pushing for more schedule A EB visas once the 50K special quota is depleted (anticipated for this fall). Here is alink I found.

This would be an ideal time to try to push physician NIW applicants into this same quota since at this time EB2 India is unavailable and the future for the rest of the world is looking uncertain as well, especially in view of PERM and the pending premium processing 140 flood from the IT sector.

I think that contacting Sen. Brownbacks or Sen. Conrad office might be a first step. After all they have been generally pro immigrant physicians. NIW Physicians, would barely take up 1-2K visas out of these massive numbers yet we are/will get caught in this backlog and by definition we are in areas short of doctors.

Any thoughts?
