I have done a stupid mistake on the n400 form by entering a wrong birth year and I am off by one year. What is this going to lead me to? What are my options? I am going to call them first thing tommorow morning to rectify the mistake, but would like if anyone here faced similar situation.

I think you can call it in and correct it. Atleast, they should make a note of it on the system that you tried to correct it. Also, make sure you update your form and print out the page the the date. At the interview, when the IO goes over your application, mention the mistake and offer to give him the updated sheet with your correct birth date. I don't think this will create any issues. This is why they go over your form during your interview - to make sure the information is correct and you qualify for citizenship.

This is something that can wait until the interview to be corrected.
The birth year is not something that affects your eligibility for naturalization (unless you are 18 now and you put the birth year that would make you 17, that is a minor) and the USCIS will not reject the application upon receipt because of it.
You can try calling them now to correct it, but I am almost sure that it will not work and it is really not necessary. The only thing that you could change in the N-400 after it is submitted but before the interview is your address, in case you move.

Your application will not be examined in detail until the interview. At the interview the IO will go over every item in the N-400 and you'll be able to correct the birth year then.

I called the toll free number on the NOA and told them about the mistake. The person noted it down and said will send this info to the National Benefit Center and I will hear something in 30 days. This is really freaking me out as to how I missed this. Well cannot do anything now, was wondering if anyone had a similar thing happened to them.

Does the NBC really send something in 30 days when you call them? I have not received anything, but its only 15 days yet. Please advise.
