My skin test for TB was +ve. I then had a xray . The doctor did not like the xray too (he said he can see something but not very clearly). Now he has sent me for a CT scan to see if there is any sign of TB in me . Has this happened to anyone before. what could be the worst case. I hope insurance will cover the CT scan costs .
is there something i should be doing .
pls comment

re:

i went to a doctor here in apple valley MN, his clinic is MD physicals. actually there is a nodule in my lung x-ray which started all this ....

Don't worry..I have been through this

I140helppls,

I had to go through something similar...After +ve Tb ..XRay then CT Scan and even PET..Finally I managed to get a statement from Pulmonary Specialist that nothing is wrong...and I got my reports.

It took me more than a month to get my reports from Doctor...

Hope this helps !

phillyjune.
i have already got the medical clearance .in that the doctor mentioned + skin test and abnormal chest xay for me . he also mentioned that i dont have active TB .so he gave me clearance.

BUT as a doc he has suggested that i consult specialist and take the full medication because he thinks i have TB germs that is latent TB. my concern is that INS will send me a RFE asking for proof that i took the treatment..

could u tell me what the doc mentioned in ur medical.

Insurance will not bear any cost for immigration purpose.

All that you need is a chest X-ray. Usually INS certified doctors do it in one of their facilites - costs betwen $65 to $90 in most of the places. See another INS certified doctor and tell them that you would like to get chest X-ray done instead of PPD. (state religious reason, lack of time etc).

re:

what does PPD mean???? i did ct scan too and they found something in ct scan too .they gave me the medical clearance but they suggested that i go for treatment.

I have a postive ppd.
My ppd diameter is 20mm. As I am pregnant, I have to take the chest x-ray and take the INH treatment after delivery. The INS approved physicians wrote those comments on the medical report.
I have to file the I 140 and I 485 thru CSC.

I think I will be going to get the RFE for an x-ray.
Am I going to get an RFE for the INH treatment too?
If that is so, the whole treatment takes so many months and it might delay my gc process.

What should I do about this?
I believe getting the INH treatment is none of their business right.
First there should be ppd and then chest x-ray and still it is positive then they should go further.

Please comment on this.

Thanks
