Medical Check

Hi,

I understand that if one applies for permanent residence in Canada, then one is subject to a series of medical checks. I am enquiring for a friend who is concerned that his medical records would be examined in this process.

My question is, other than asking about your previous medical history, can immigraion officials obtain copies of your records in your home country directly themselves? I mean, I guess they wouldn't know which practices/hospitals you have been to?
