morning, every.

it's really frustrating fo rus now. any suggestion is welcomed
we file our 485 on may 2002, did our FP on july 2004.
called 1800 to filed case inquiry twice, but no any response.
e-mailed FBI for name check twice, but no response.
called attorney many times. no any use.
contaced congressman, she said my case is with an officernow and her liaison is pushing as much as possible. but it's been more than a month already, still nothing.

so we don't know where are our cases now, and what the problem is. does anyone have any suggestion of what should we do now, please help.
thanks

You still need to contact an TSC officer directly through the way 1-800-..... Many people in this disscussion board suggest a way how to do that. I followed and got it through about two months ago.

Peter,
Do you mind telling us again how you were able to get in touch with an officer?]

Thanks.

You may want to call FBI customer service and find out if your case is with INS or with FBI itself. Then you may contact Congressman for expidite your case.

i've tried teh trick 1800#, then 1,2,4,2, src# and then 1, but I still got the customer rep, not TSC officer.
I asked 1800 rep, he said he has no more information on my case, he will file case inquiry, that's it. I really feel I am out of choices.
thanks

I tried 1-800# several times and either was transferred to an officer or directed connected to an officer. What I was told is that those officers are not from TSC, they are information officers. They can see more details about our cases than the customer rep., but they can't do anything for you except telling you some details of your cases. For example, I was told that the last time my case was touched by a TSC officer was 10-2004 and since then no more update. Some nicer officers suggested me to contact Senator or Congressman, some worse ones just told me that I have to wait for my turn. So, I really don't think there is a way to talk directly to a TSC officer. The information officers are in L.A. and N.Y.

check with FBI

zym27,

Most likely, FBI is processing your name check. TSC is nothing to do with it. I did my first FP in Oct. 2002, and then nothing happened. I contacted TSC several times for my case. As the matter of fact, I should have contacted FBI instead of TSC. FBI worked very slowly on Name Check. I was in unlucky processing situation, and it took almost one year. Then my FP expired and I have to wait for second FP. So I suggest you keep contacting FBI to see if your name check is done or not. Good luck.

i just called 1800 again. the lady told me i have to file at least 3 times of case inquiry, if i still get nothing then they will trasnfer me to an information officer.
does anybody know FBI name check number? i sent out 2 emails, nothing back. may be phone call will work?
thanks

Try this

Costomer service center is kind of waste of my time. I called them twice and they told me the system was down. So I had to try other ways.

What I did was to download the inquiry form from TSC website and filled out then faxed to TSC once a week. I faxed them twice, no response. Then I faxed a letter to the Texas Senator to ask for his help. One week later, TSC faxed me back to response my case. The second day, our cases were approved. I also received the response letter from the senator. He is a very good man. Actually, the date of senator's letter was the same day of our case approval.

Good luck.

sanantoni,
thanks for hsaring your experience. But I am not in Texas, can I ask Texas senator for help? also I already contacted my congressman, some people said TSC will get confused if they get case inquiry from two senator offices.
thanks
