Hi,

I have received my I-485 receipt and Advance Parole. And I married with my girlfriend in China.Note: my I-485 haven\'t approved.

My wife\'s H4 application was denied since the consulate officer suspect my wife\'s purpose for marriage.

After reading following message,
"If you marry after your PR application is submitted to the INS
office, your spouse can still apply as an \'accompanying spouse\'
so long as the marriage occurred before your application is
formally approved. If your spouse is outside of the U.S., he/she
can apply for an immigrant visa to join you in the U.S.
so long as the marriage occurred before you actually become a
lawful permanent resident of the U.S."

I decide to apply immigrant visa for my wife while my PR has been granted by INS.

So, I prepare my wife\'s documents such as marriage certificate for lawyer. But lawyer said: " there is nothing that needs to be done at this point. The Consulate cannot start processing your wife\'s immigrant visa
application until your PR status has been granted by INS and INS advises the Consulate. We will be asking INS to notify the U>S> consulate of your PR approval when that occurs."

But, I guess that at least lawyer would notify the INS about my marriage has been changed.

Is anybody out there in the same boat ? What is the advisable way to do ?

Thanks !
