Maple Card and Citizenship Question

Hi,

I have a few questions:

From experience, can someone tell me how long is it taking nowadays to get the passport from the day you apply for citizenship?

I am planning to go to India for 2/3 months after I apply for my Maple Card. Is that going to be a problem for my travel if I dont take the Maple Card with me? I read some posts by people on where they said their landing papers were not good for travel anymore, after they applied for the PR card, is that applicable in my case too?

(Confused)

Thanks.

it depends on when u are coming back. they say that the landing papers will not be valid for travel after december 31, 2003. That means u can come back till december 31.
Have a nice trip

citizenship appears to depend on where you stay. From application to citizenship ceremony appears to take from 7 - 10 months. Add another month for the passport.

Landed papers only become invalid for travel when you get physical possession of the PR card. not at application time.
