Letter from FBI regarding Foipa

I have been stuck in background check for a long time. Seeing so many posts on this board on Foipa requests, I sent a letter to FBI about a month ago. Yesterday I got a letter from FBI, but they only noticed me the number of my case has been assigned, and it doesn't mention any words on my FBI background check... Can anybody share any Foipa experience with me?

FOIPA response won't mention anything about your pending FBI background check as they're two different things. One is a Federal statute that allows individuals to find out whether the government has any files or information concerning you, the other is a background check paid for by the USCIS so that they may determine whether you are a security threat before adjusting your status.

If you got a letter from the FBI saying that they have no records on you, thats good.

maybe you should start thinking about a law suit
