my file has been transferred to Los Angeles last May but I haven't heard from them yet...
Please let me know your timeline and I will add it here, so that we will get to know how long LA processes the applications.

Is there any pattern?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is a pattern and basis for Buffalo for transfering files to LA. I know they are saying to expediate the process but I saw one person on portal (RamKum) applied on April 25th 2002 and he has already received his assessment from Buffalo.
According to the self-assessment test on CIC site, I'm making under 75 points. What about the rest of you? If some of us are making above 75 points and their files have been transfered to LA too then, we can be positive that they are not following any particular pattern or criteria.

Other potential categories to explore:
1. Applicant Profile.
e.g. Single/Married, Dependents,
Total Number of Applicants in petition. etc.
2. Any Updates made to application since initial filing.
e.g Addition of new family members etc.
3. Missing Documents in Initial Application.
e.g. not sent FBI forms, not sent Bank Statements etc.
If most of us here think it might be useful to engage in

Immigrant Case Status
Folks,
From a posting in the Buffalo tracker forum, it appears the
Detroit Consulate has a nice tracker for "Transfer from Buffalo"
cases?
"Immigrant Case Status" link under "Visas and Immigration".
LA unfortunately does not have this.
It is interesting, however, that they indicate a 8-12 week
period for just the transfer, which means most of our cases
here (in this forum) are "Transfer complete" or at least, very
close to being so.
Hope the actions from this point on are really "expedited".

My and your timeline seems to be same. Did you receive a letter from L.A too? If yes, do they say when your file reached there.
I had got a letter from Buffalo, stating that my file has been transferred to L.A. Nothing so far from L.A. How much time did this stage take in your case. I mean after your file was transferred in how much time did you get the interview done.
How many points did you get in the point system?
Would appreciate your reply.
Also tomorrow I have scheduled time to speak with the lawyer, will ask if he can get the CAIPS done for you too. If he says yes, then I will take your email, and send you his phone no. You can contact him then.
