L1 Clock Reset Petition Provided With Extension For Earlier Petition

I received my first L1A petition on 06/09/2014 and travelled to the US in May 2015. I have been in the US since then until the pandemic.

Around the pandemic I decided to be in India and I completed 365 days and when I was leaving I was due for my last extension as well via the first petition. We did file the extension which was processed much later and I received a stamp from Dec 2021 to Oct 2024. However, the first petition expired on June 8th 2022.

My employer immigration & lawyers informed me that the clock will reset and they filed a new petition.
However USCIS I guess has just expanded it for 19 months until Jan 2024 for the period available in the earlier petition. If so,

Is there anything I can do here or challenge this since I was away for more than 365 days.

My GC is in the works too which will be submitted in 45 days.
